I kind of hate that this is actually the most frequently asked question we get about the house. I understand that there is a lot of local legend and curiosity, but there is just so much more to wonder! Regardless, here’s my my typical answer:
Call me a skeptic, but… No.
Admittedly, after the first night we spent in the house, our son did ask if I was in the hallway dressed in a white gown the in the middle of the night. Aside from that, however, there have been zero signs of paranormal activity in nearly three years. I guess if there is such a thing as ghosts, and if they occupying the house, they must like us!

Haunted Terre Haute by Ashley Hood details the stories of many sites in the area believed to be haunted. The house and mill site are no exception. Let me tell you, this makes a great read for your kids and their friends who happen to be spending the night in the house on Halloween!
