We are thrilled to have two Markle House trees featured in this year’s Big Tree Registry from Trees, Inc! Our American Chestnut and White Elm trees are highlighted with red boxes in the pictures of their brochure below (click to enlarge.)
Owning the Markle House has given us opportunities like these to meet some really great people in the community. MaryBeth and Laura, (along with another lady whose name I’m afraid is escaping me) measured the Elm and Chestnut last year. They returned recently, bringing Steve with them this time, to measure two more of our trees – a White Pine and a Sycamore. These trees will be included in the Markle House stop of the Big Tree Bus Tour on June 11.
I may post pictures of our big trees at some point, but for now you can see them in person by joining the tour! As of this post, there were still 8 seats available. See the flyer below for more information.
