I came across Ronald Andrew’s terrific site before we bought the house when I was trying not to get my hopes up, yet wanting to learn everything I possibly could about the history of the place. Go check out his great summary of the history of the mill and the house!

Thanks for the compliment. I wrote most of this for an independent study project in college (1973). I’ve been adding to it since. I hope to visit the site of Abraham Markle’s mill in Hamilton, Ontario.
